It seems like for a lot of people this election was one based on a decision making process along the lines of 'The lesser of two evils'. And most people thought Kamala was more evil.
And tbh if a Kamala presidency was going to be like a Starmer government, I think they might have a point.

After the criminal ineptitude and careless tunnel vision of the Tories over the past decade, I was actively hoping for a change in UK government.
Unfortunately, the Starmer squad got me saying "no, not like that" after a mere three months. Less than 100 days in power and the c*** is already at record low approval levels. Quite an accomplishment.
We'll have to have a change in the mindset of the population first..
I think gas light fatigue was the straw that broke Kamala. The legacy media and DNC conspired to conceal Biden’s dementia, rationalizing that they could get through the general election. Pile on the soft handling she got after the switheroo and general treatment of U.S. voters like they’re 6 year olds that can’t handle the truth. Whenever she was asked actual difficult and unscripted questions she just couldn’t respond. People got creepy vibes. Things would be different if the DNC had just pulled Biden earlier and ran an honest primary.
Ironically the 'weird' angle the democrats tried to play as an attack exposed just how weird they (also?) are lol
