Has anyone recently switch from CalyxOS to GrapheneOS? If so how was the transition? I went from Graphene to Calyx which I've been running for just over two years now. Wanting to make the switch back and wondering what people's experiences have been like.

How come moving back?

GrapheneOS has seemed to take a giant step forward in providing more general usability while offering a good security model. The reason I tried Calyx in the first place was at the time it offered better compatibility that I was willing to have certain trade offs to aquire.

Compatibility is a big plus for #calyxos I've even flashed "unofficial" releases on devices not supported by the "official" #calyxos project. Something that will most likely never happen with #grapheneos

Cool. Personally I'd only run it on devices where the bootloader can be locked again.

That's not an option on the devices widely available in the global south, thats why I welcome alternatives to #grapheneos

Not calixos but I went from lineageos+microg to grapheneos on a new device. I like both but Los seems more "hacky" than Gos, Gos seems more professional, Google in sandbox is very cool, I use it on a different profile. Also locking bootloader allows banking apps to work.

Thanks for that assessment Ronin 👍

I’m going to give this a try myself. Someone told me you can flash directly from Calyx to Graphene
