Ouch! Outside of the initial heatwave at the start of spring, the temp has been OK, with some bouts of rain. But of a drought up there?
Discussion
Maybe not severe here yet, this time of the year is always a dry.
We're reliant on rainwater for our drinking & washing. We're almost through our 50KL of water that we had stored in April. I knew we were running low a couple of months ago, so have become frugal with water usage.
I really need to level up my water harvesting & storage but it will take heavy machinery & bitcoin so so painfully cheap right now.
Opportunity costs can be a bitch to navigate.
Have you ever run out?
I've ran out once since I added 22.5KL to my storage.
It costs about $150 to get 10KL delivered & while I don't like paying for water, it's the chlorinated & fluoridated water that I really don't like.
I'm tossing up adding another tank on top of my hill which could be used as backup both for a dry spell & power failure.
