Can anyone put together a solid, step by step guide that illustrates exactly what hardware is required, what operating system is required, and any other ancillary artifacts that would be required to circumvent this entire fucking clown show?

Easy. Get a pixel 7 or higher, make sure its "unlocked" (I think unlocked from the beginning), go to grapheneos' website, plug in phone to computer, click the button on that website, and wait for like 5 minutes.

Its very very verrrry easy.
