So far it's not very good, but I'm hoping it improves

Looks like they're shitcoining

No testing 🫡

Interesting

yeah speed isn’t great even in fast mode sadly :(

"DISCLAIMER: The Nym project launched with its own token"

🤢🤮

yeah i think because they need to incentivize the mix node ops in a verifiable way

Slightly ignorant here but how is this different to a normal VPN?

additional server hops between client and target server, Tor like encryption, packet shuffling and fake packets inserted into data stream along with a few other packet tricks

I just knew there would be a couple of ignorant maxis complaining about nym having a token.

The amazing design they've come up with, the stellar dev lineup, the extremely strong privacy and anonymity guarantees, the massive improvement over any currently existing solution.. none of that matters to the maxi - nym has a token, therefore they must all be shitcoiners looking for boundless profit.

Or, you know, it could be because they understand something that you maxis don't..

I’m actually interested in understanding further the utility of the #NYM token. For what I remember from last research I’ve done on the project, the token is used to vote for the servers you want the traffic to be direct to. I think, it’s a fine concept but I’ve always been concerned by the large pre-mine supply distributed to the team and investors. Couldn’t those parties potentially collude and vote for servers that are dishonest? I like the concept of NYM but I feel the privacy assumptions of the service are dependent of how decentralized the token supply is and unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be very decentralized. How to waste a great idea and talents with poor tokenomics.

#VPN #Crypto

theres a saturation attribute of mix nodes and validators which disincentives you to vote too much on one node. also i think its about 150 mix nodes now

Zero interest to use legacy emails on a VPN. Will just care if they login with nsec.

can we pay in btc
