While I'm very vocally against Apple and their appstore, here's an olive branch to my fruit phone frens:

Why not spin up a micro app to solve this for any non-zapping client?

Picture this, user logs in with nip-07. Uses Nostr Wallet Connect to link something like Alby or their own node, sets budget and default zap amount. Authorizes, and done. Now the micro app watches the specified relays for "like" events on notes from you, and zaps the note according to your settings.

In theory, different emojis could be set to represent different values as well, or even keywords. Apple and any other app store would be none-the-wiser.

I like it. It's doable. The only downside is only tech savvy users with a node would do this.

Maybe? Alby would work well and is accessible. And you could make it easy and simple, name it something cool like Zaplikes.
