I think it's hard to overestimate the impact that a culture and its traditions and its language can have on both individuals and groups.
I recently read that African languages typically do not have a word for the concept of maintenance.
I find this very interesting because if you don't have a clear concept for a certain idea, then it's going to change the way that your people group navigates that idea.
I think African languages are rich, however, in words that have to do with community, which is interesting.
The English language tends to tilt towards individuality quite a bit, particularly American English.
And I bet that Chinese culture and language also have a lot to do with Chinese people in the way they see the world.
