Yeah. When I reinstall the gaming PC, I'm going to try this.

I've heard people talking about it working extremely well as long as you use PCI pass through to give the VM direct access to a video card. I look forward to trying it myself.

It's just not worth the effort to go through setting up all the Windows software again unless I have to. Plus I worry that some old, unsupported programs like SketchUp won't install anymore (on hardware or in a VM). I've moved on to FreeCAD now but I still have some old models that would be tedious to recreate. They're not super important, but no need to lose them sooner than necessary.
