Relays not running over Tor have the ip addresses of users connecting. So most relays are logging the ip address of the nostr clients that write events. An logging for reading. Anyway, nostr not over tor is not private, it’s mostly signed unencrypted content.

With DM’s you’re exposing the sender and receiver, but not the content. There are proposals for private encrypted groups but they haven’t been finalized or implemented yet.

If we did have folks posting CSAM, and using known relays, the relay operator could get their ip address and hadn’t it over to the police with the content.

People would do that stuff while not using Tor?? Isn’t it the user not the relay who determines whether they are on Tor?

Based on the paper it seems like they are used to jumping to session or, presumably, simple x

Is this same problem that i created my acc with normal exploler ?

Nobody cares. Find another thread to hijack.

Why so angry 🤣 I’m just asking why that Binance account showing in my nosta 😮‍💨

I think it’s maybe because im not using that Tor 🫂

Because you're butting into a serious discussion thread about CSAM to post stupid unrelated shit.

Learn some manners, you degenerate burnout.

Lol, ok.

Don’t be offended 🥱

I reckon that people posting CSAM would use relays that are running over Tor though. How could you counter that?
