Der "regelbasierte internationale Ordnung" ist ein dünn verschleierter Versuch, das eigentliche Fundament der globalen Gemeinschaft zu untergraben, nämlich die Normen, die sich über Jahrhunderte entwickelt haben und die wir sogar als "Gesetz" bezeichnen, weil sie so grundlegend sind. In diesem Gespräch erklärt mein Gast, Dr. Binoy Kampmark, wie und warum westliche imperialistische Entwürfe versuchen, einen der Pfeiler des internationalen Betriebssystems zu stürzen. Dr. Binoy Kampmark ist Senior Lecturer an der School of Global, Urban and Social Studies der RMIT University in Australien, wo er die Verbindung von Recht, internationalen Beziehungen und Geschichte erforscht. In einem seiner Projekte verfolgt er die Entwicklung des Diskurses über den "Schurkenstaat" in der amerikanischen politischen Debatte. Da kürzlich das "Achse des Bösen"-Motiv in den populären Medien wieder aufgetaucht ist, dachte ich, dass dies der perfekte Zeitpunkt ist, um mit Binoy über die US-Kennzeichnung ihrer Gegner und deren soziale und rechtliche Bedeutung zu sprechen.

The "Rules Based International Order" is a thinly veiled attempt at undermining the real fundament of the global community, which is the norms that have developed over centuries and that we even call a "law", because they are so fundamental. In this talk my guest, Dr. Binoy Kampmark, explains how and why western imperial designs are trying to bring down one of the pillars of the international operating system.

Dr Binoy Kampmark is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies at Australia’s RMIT University, where he researchers the interconnection of law, international relations and history. In one of his projects, he traces the evolution of the “rogue state” discourse in American political debate.

Since recently the “Axis of Evil” trope has reappeared in popular media, I thought this is the perfect time to talk to Binoy about the US labelling of its adversaries and what that means socially and legally.
