Just wrote this for the first time to a friend talking about potentially going non-tax resident in Australia

He’s been out for 2 years already

“If there’s one thing forming very strongly in my mind: paying UK/US/Aus tax over the next 10 years, means we’re propping up a state that is stealing from us all, and murdering people all over the world in the name of “freedom””

Where am I wrong?

Me and my partner just went through the experience of our first pregnancy and birth in NSW. We are well below the median income, but both work and pay our taxes. We were both blown away by the level of care and support we received from our health system. Multiple check ups, private birthing suites, private room for a week, outpatient support, home visits… all with no charge.

We are so incredibly grateful, and our eyes are somewhat opened as to how our tax dollars are being spent.

I also feel that our taxes aren’t used in the best way, and as a nation we are living beyond our means, but this seems to be a symptom of the global fiat system?

So pleased to hear you had a good experience. So often not the case with the “cascade of intervention” in hospital ending in c-section

We opted for home-births in our case

As for tax dollars going somewhere. Nice to hear a positive review, and all those hours you’ve worked to pay into the system has an ROI for you

Sadly, with all the money printing that’s happened, and about to happen, the bloat of government is only going to get worse

So when you say you got it for “free”, in my view, in some way, it’s because you’re the product

Yes it did end in c-section for us. Not in the plan, and now a bit of trauma to get past… but in the end we’re all happy healthy and together

I totally see your point about being the product. More and more it feels like that these days, or as we get older it becomes clearer?

I do believe our social contract was set up with good intentions, after the horrors of world wars in the last “fourth turning”

But as the new saeculum approaches, the rot becomes increasingly evident.
