Hey! When you set your own username, the data is sent to and saved on the relays you are connected to. Relays are basically just servers with a database that stores all «events» (as it’s called on nostr).

You just need to safely back up your private key. It usually starts with nsec and has a bunch of letters/numbers.

or, maybe he is asking sth different, maybe he is thinking how to ensure, that no one else is getting "his" privkey by chance. like the old question in the bitcoin world: what if someone else guesses an (my) address.

or even better: is guessing my seed!
