Imagine what we could accomplish if we all quit egotistically bickering, we all did our due diligence, and opened our minds:
we could collaborate and build instead of fight and destroy.
All we need to do is overrun the gov, commandeer their nuclear powered soil vaporizing boring machines (I forget what they're called) and build multiple Denver Airports around the world for everyone, not just the haves.
That might be a slight oversimplification 😅

Thanks. Been following @sunweatherman on this. Trouble is our location is PNW ring of volcanoes. And how in heck would you help your livestock in such an event?
Once we start building our facility we plan to include a tunnel entrance that connects to the barn and includes a subterranean livestock facility plus feed storage. Having livestock post shift would be a massive advantage.
That’s a great idea. What’s your elevation?
We'll be building about 2k ft
I’m thinking higher like 5000+. Still grow stuff that elevation. Considering eastern Rockies. W Wyoming has rainfall. Might try to get to observer ranch seminar to just educate myself. My family’s ranch unfortunately 30 miles from volcanic area.
Yeah higher is better but balance with still being able to have productivity is important. OR is on our list as well. It’s happened many times before yet here we are talking about it which is as powerful of a reminder that there can be that we have survived these events as a species in the past.
If it happens again, we will almost certainly survive again as a species.
As individuals and families and survival/prepper groups, there are certainly choices that can be made to improve survival chances. Bear in mind these choices are generally major life choices involving relocating and changing lifestyle to one full of off grid homesteading and cottage industry.
Basically, due to the fact that we do not know the day nor the hour, one would pretty much have to voluntarily place one’s self under house arrest assuming the house has a well designed survival bunker. There would be some time to get to safety but I would expect seismic activity to make that process of getting to the bunker from any distance of separation to be potentially very difficult.
Simply being out on a regular supply run would potentially be enough to prevent return home to the bunker’s safety.
Almost any choice to improve one’s survival odds comes with tradeoffs. The bigger the improvement in survival odds, the bigger the tradeoffs will impact our everyday lives.
