Is it true that Americans don't use kettles?

I've been telling people as if it's fact but I can't remember where I heard it. Not planning to stop, just want to be aware of whether I'm spreading disinformation again or no.
I have also been saying this as if it's a fact. I went to America and didn't see a kettle. As in an electric kettle, they have ones you put on a hob. But maybe I was just mixing with the wrong kettle folk.

Won't they all be using those Nespresso thingies or is instant coffee still around?
Oh yeah. Surely they still need boiling water for stuff. Like pasta or tea. Maybe there is no need for an electric kettle over there

We use kettles (yes, electric ones too #[5] ) this is the one I use. But we don’t drink nearly as much tea as other countries so you probably don’t see as many

This is how we do it in Australia. It's called a "billy" and if you look closely you'll see that it's actually an empty dog food can.
Ah yes, you got that from the Brits. This is how we do it. We kept a slightly more traditional technique

It was most likely the Irish that brought them to Australia.
A lot of our travelling folk were tin-smiths , and defo ended up in Oz .

Americans use them for target practice, or as weapons themselves.
I use an electric kettle to make coffee and tea, but I think I’m in the minority as Americans aren’t generally big tea drinkers and most people just have crappy coffee makers.
