Following European farmers protests European Commission announced today the withdrawal of a law aimed to reduce the use of pesticides across EU.

The Sustainable Use Regulation proposed slashing by half the use of pesticides by 2030 and a ban on using them in urban areas across EU.

They've been lied to and trapped. This ban would have been a disaster without a proper transition plan in place. See Sri Lanka.

There is, and it can be done within a few years but it has to be done correctly, and it's a big ask. If it could happen in a way that is healthy it would be a massive win for everyone.
