The big question on this social is why do they have a like button?

Hmm? You have a like button to indicate that you’ve liked something. People can see what you liked if they click on reactions.

Content is not sorted by likes on most clients because there are no algorithms.

Cuz it's to be seen how many likes for now doesn't have to be identified to public who liked them. Only u know kinda deeper security.

No now only u can see who liked it like u said in notification. Noone else can see who liked which posts.

The liking posts is marketing purposes. Twitter did it correct. Instead of reply nonsense might as well like it.
