⚡️📶🇪🇺 NEW - Apple Watch to lose Wi-Fi synchronization with iPhone in Europe

Apple will disable automatic Wi-Fi network synchronization between the iPhone and Apple Watch in Europe, starting with the iOS 26.2 update (December).

The reason: the European Commission required Apple to open this synchronization link to third-party accessories. Apple refused for security and privacy reasons.

Therefore, to comply with the DMA, Apple will disable the feature for everyone in Europe.

Sounds like apple designed a horribly insecure protocol for syncing and doesn’t want to have to expose how bad it is.
