Same, i don’t care about or know lyrics for the most part

While you make pretty speeches

I'm being cut to shreds

You feed me to the lions

A delicate balance

When this just feels like spinning plates

I'm living in Cloud Cuckoo Land

Due to the name of the song being in the lyrics i know this to be radiohead 😇

I like to try to understand and identify with the lyrics, making a deeper connection to the song. This is probably why Radiohead fucked me back in the day 😂

I still only know the song “Creep” 🤣💜

Listening to music and listening to the story of it are two different things for me, and I feel that I don’t often take enough time to listen to the story

Creep is my least favorite Radiohead song 🤣

oh i completely understand 🤣

It's also Thom York's least favorite Radiohead song. 😹

Has abyone seen derek and thom yorke in the same room? 🥸

Good musicians will make sad lyrics sound happy and vice versa.

This is an old parlor trick. The song “jump” by Van Halen is a good example. David Lee Roth understood the value of positive music with dark undertones

Van Halen got played a lot back in my household as a kid, couldn’t name you any songs, but would recognise a lot of them

Jump

David Lee Roth is a legend as far as I’m concerned. Guy is a true artist. I’m not a huge Van Halen fan insofar as listening to them regularly, but I have massive respect for them as musicians

Yep

yes i think this is actually more common... though I have always been a heavy lyric decoder...

This is generally why I listen to a lot of instrumental music. Hip-hop seems to be the exception for me though.

I think so. I listen the lyrics and the melody as a whole.
