Non-venomous.

That's rare and precious, here.

Diamond Pythons and Quokkas are the two native animals you could let your kids play with over here.

Never! I don’t care how friendly or safe a snake is…they’re slithering suckers 😬

lol, I’m not a huge fan of snakes but I don’t worry about them too much either. There were brown snakes around where I grew up, we would see a few each year in summer as kids. You just learn to be aware to watch out for them and they generally keep away from you anyway.

I had a red belly lunge at me on a trail in morialta this summer 😳

I’m ded 😱

I found a brown snake in the bushes at Aldinga scrub a couple of years back. I’d seen an echidna there about a week before and when I heard a noise in the bush I thought maybe it was another one but turned out to be a snake instead 🤣 It was looking very alert but I just moved away and it was fine..

This good-looking fella is the one to watch out for:

Only fourth in the world for venom, but Tigers make up for it with curiosity and attitude.

We had a few come around when I was a kid. Makes a trip to the wood shed exciting!
