I've been using the same model printer (toner type) for over 7 years. Before that, I had a similar model from the same brand, also toner type.

I'm sure everyone knows here, but just in case you don't.. if you only print black and white, don't bother with inkjet junk - that's how you run up your ink costs. Toner is a fraction of the cost and lasts wayyyyy longer. I think I only changed my cartridge once the entire time and I bought it when it was on sale.

Another nifty trick: When your printer says your toner is low, just cover up the censor with tape and you get another 20% toner life out of it. No joke.
