I guess my question was more specuric to USDT. Perhaps that depends on the chain it's on and interop for adpators with bitcoin. Liquid would almost certainly enable this. 🤔

Yeah I think LN-usdt or liquid are the only options that make sense. And the liquid swap would be L-BTC from the trusted sideswap market maker

If CLARITY Act passes and stablecoins are determined to be "non-custodial" under law, then hosting a swap service that doesn't custody funds becomes legally clear as not needing a MTL or under BSA KYC/AML at all.

Sideswap and sideshift have liquid swaps. Not really what youre asking for but tether on lightning makes no sense to me.

Suggestion:
For DEX swaps, use Bitcoin, not LN. IMO this is the best practice. LN for micro payments is great, for DEXs... troubles are common (failed transactions, time outs, etc)
With Bitcoin low fees now, the opsec and robustness is appealing.
