If you don't want others to use it, Consider not exposing it to public.
Set up an VPN. OpenVPN, Wireshark, or something like Tailscale, Zerotier, You call it.
If not, Make it listen on localhost and use SSH port forwarder.
some client dont support adding ws:// url if using virtual IP address.
