I'm a bit of a space conspiracy theorist myself...

IM SCREAMING BECAUSE THERE IS SUCH AN EASY SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM BUT ELON AND THE GOVT WONT JUST TELL THE TRUTH.

Musk is tasked with the disposing/retiring of the ISS, so they're all just doing whatever need to do to make sure it goes smoothly. They gotta fix shit on it until there's a define plan, they're not just gonna put brand new equipment on it just to crash it into the ocean (new solar arrays need to be installed, I asked NASA about it a few years ago on live and they were only able to put one on, amongst other things that need repair). While still doing their daily health tasks so they can do their labs.

If it was a "REAL" emergency, They could've sent Suni and Butch back in the Crew 8 dragon and another dragon capsule could've been sent up so the crew could get back home. What's probably happening is they're waiting for crew 9, if they can't fix the Boeing Stardestroyer.

Why would you send a cargo vehicle that burns up in the atmosphere to get rid of the space trash instead of someone capable of fixing the Starliner in a dragon to take the stuck astronauts and the Boeing engineer home? Most of the supplies still could have fit in the rescue pod.

"They're doing a lot of maintenance." Is another response I received after tweeting them live before crew 7 went up. So they need all hands on deck to do inventory/equipment checks/structure reports, etc; gotta see if we can stretch the contract out a lil longer. The ISS is one of man's greatest accomplishments.

They'll keep blaming it on Boeing as long as they can, it gives "NasaX" time.
