It topped up a super weekend in England’s #Bitcoin capital, Bedford.
Mayor @petermccormack with @dannyknowles and helpers put up a fantastic conference. Of course, most of the talks are subjects you have heard before, if you follow a couple of Bitcoin podcasts. But well delivered on stage from all. Had FOMO, and didn’t want to miss something, so it was a long day sitting on my ass.
“Resistance Money” with Andrew Bailey, Bradley Retter, and Craig Wamke, hosted by @allen, was a really good discussion. And some new perspectives I hadn’t heard before. I’m definitely going to buy the book when it is released.
Good to attend a Real Bedford match again, and they’ll get their win on Tuesday to secure the promotion.
But the best is, of course, meeting old and new acquaintances. Had a lot of good Bitcoin talks. Thanks to you all.
On the train Sunday morning down to London and the Tottenham match, I overheard 3 West Ham fans from Bedford on their way to a match: “Did you hear about Real Bedford and that they got 4 million from some CrYpTo Company? It’s wild what that Peter guy has done with the football team and CrYpTo”.
I talked to them (didn’t bother correcting to Bitcoin, not the right time and place 😅). They thought it was crazy I was there from Norway, but at least one of them said he would have to go and check out a Real Bedford match.
