IMO social media isn't the best form factor for nostr's capacities which is why I work on edtech with nostr. I use nostr just to be in tune with a developer community that's interested in pushing the boundaries of the web and I find it more interesting than the startup community on twitter.
So nostr, socially, is pretty niche and it's unlikely that traditional influencers will like nostr because influencers are quite literally a product of algorithmic slot machines. Ian Carrol is a symptom of this and his rise out of Tiktok has been somewhat annoying to me because it's pretty lowbrow stuff that does well with reactionary outrage.
The "old" internet, which nostr is somewhat of an evolution of, experienced its prime in places like video games, education and other internet spaces that thrived off collaboration rather than impressions and media metrics.
