No lie, more than once in the past few months I've had to do research on an artist or actor or writer before suggesting them to someone/recommending them, purely because of this.
It's atrocious.

My cousin did professional shots of a band I listened to *years* ago and (oops) didn't realize was still making music. I got hella excited, played their new stuff on my Music subscription…and found out they had a whole-ass song about needing to get out of "oppressive" California because of all the (oh, noes!) forced masking.
Deleted that music and the playback history so fast.
