Will the ethos and values of #Bitcoin ultimately lead to a more equitable and open financial system, or will they simply reinforce existing power structures and inequalities?

Feel like both are possible.

Thats the 1 Million Bitcoin question, isnβ€˜t it?

Hard to say. I would bet on something in between. You?

Who defines the ethos and values of #Bitcoin

Humans always human. We already have alt coins πŸͺ™

when #Satoshi made #Bitcoin perfect

irrelevant.... as long as we don't take no for an answer... they can try to do what's they want .. who knows there can always be a black market down the road .... sounds crazy but we can be the rebalion of the future... we just don't know .. but anything is possible..

black markets cannot be orange

My money's on the latter. Most holders of Bitcoin don't care about philosophy or ethos. They're only interested in number-go-up. Greed will win.

I'm hoping for the former, but if only a small percentage of folks self-custody, then I wonder if they'll be able to continue to play their rehypothecation games. I guess time will tell. I choose to self-custody.
