For as long as the state has a monopoly on law enforcement, joining the police is the only way to fight and punish the people who want to violate our liberty, life and property as a profession.

You are perfectly illustrating the problem. It is not the job of police to fight and punish the people. They are not judge and jury. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Police aren’t lawyers either. In fact more hours are required to be a licensed hairdresser then a cop.
