The #Bitcoin  block size will eventually increase. Improvement in internet connectivity and hardware will result in increased efficiency for solving and validating blocks. As we know, technology is deflationary from a cost perspective.

Thus at that stage, increasing #Bitcoin  block size won’t increase hardware costs & hinder decentralisation as was the concern in The Blocksize Wars.

I have said this for ages.

Do a linear regression of prices per GB for hardware and internet and you can find the exact point where that cost is gonna be 2008 equivalent. At that point, the block size goes up. It's predictable.

I mean, you could argue you can increase the block size for #Bitcoin NOW

Isn’t the issue also bandwidth and other limitations? Also smaller blocks would let even lower power devices run bitcoin. Seems premature to just compare costs to 2008.
