I think the Western narrative of this war being expected to be over within weeks it rather naive. It’s probably bloodier than was optimistally calculated but the Russians would have to be really stupid if they didn’t have a worse case scenario to consider that’s similar or worse to what’s been going on over the last ~3 years.
