I think people do care about stories.
We all care about the hero's journey.
Agreed, but the vast majority of people are not the hero. I’m certainly not and most people around me are not. We’re leading quite unremarkable lives which won’t really make a mark on history. But I get your point.
Don't confuse hero with celebrity.
