Why do some podcasters put elevator music in the background while they speak? Is very distracting

They should put no music at all
All music tend to sound like elevator music is volume is low... Ps I have heard my music a couple if times in restaurants and felt what it feels lol ro be considered background. But it is all playing with vilume, music should have no words and sidechain to lower even more when voice is triggered
