Humans corrupt the translation of the Bible as well. How much have we lost arguing about that? Truly?
Example: Genesis: ⬇️ “And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. “
Light is inherently good. Does they mean darkeness is as well? Why or why not?
Or go to verse 26 in Genesis: “let us make man in our image. After our likeness.”
Hebrew word refers to mankind. How many have taught that it refers to man alone and not woman?
Or been taught to believe one sex is supposed to adopt certain characteristics etc. Even if the “our” or Godhead is both “male/female?”
But that’s just Christianity. All the religions have their beliefs & how their followers are expected to act.
Religion has been used to control others for millennia. If humanity has any chance at survival we must learn to work together for peaceful resolutions. And that may be the very thing.
What if whoever “God” was created humans with all our issues and various religions? The goal being if we could get to a point where we recognize that our differences don’t override our humanity? Will it be in this timeline that happens?
Who knows?
I do know far too many have died in the name of various Gods. Too many.
