GM gems Humming is one of the simplest and yet most profound sounds we can make. (Free too)

A regular daily humming routine can help enhance the parasympathetic nervous system and slow down sympathetic activation. Stress gets reduced, digestive issues too, and mostly your reactive nature turns into response.

Humming practice using SO HUM

Try with eyes closed

If you yawn or pass saliva

It is a good sign!

In the diagram provided, the Autonomic Nervous System, responsible for regulating bodily functions automatically, is divided into two systems: the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. The sympathetic system triggers the "fight or flight" response during stressful situations, while the parasympathetic system promotes relaxation, restores balance, and facilitates healing processes.

Interesting. My granddaughter hums everytime she's eating. Thought it was just a quirk but maybe there is more to it. Have to look into it deeper.

Thanks

Nice share!
