As Kotlin Multiplatform gets more usage, it's not impossible to see a Desktop version of Amethyst. I just wish we had a dev to take care of that form factor (its a lot of work :( ). One day...

Also, we need just a chat client. I think too many chat apps are too focused on Kind 1. Chat can be it's own thing, on the web, on the desktop, phones, etc.

phoenixd is using Kotlin Multiplatform :) The build is a bit particular about glibc library versions on Debian or Ubuntu. Not sure why yet.

Roughly how much of the app would you say is multiplatform-ready today?

The UI can be reused, but most of the backend stuff is Android dependent. :(
