I'm having issues with my follow list again. I tried to restore from metadata.nostr.com again but it says I still have the same follow list. It says the same on hist.nostr.land. I'm not sure what the issue is.

If you backed up with hist.nostr.land you need to restore with nostr.land. If you haven’t made a backup with metadata.nostr.com prior to your list being lost, you can’t restore with it. 2 different things entirely.

Both sites show that my follow list is there. Not sure why Jumble doesn't have it. Other clients have my follow list as well. Seems to be an issue with jumble.

Talk to Semi

Adding the relay after the nukening won’t fix it.

This 👆🏾

If Jumble doesn’t show it though then it is a bug. Or maybe your relay list is fucked

My relays are the same on all the clients. Everything is the same on all my clients except for my follow list on jumble idk why.

Okay then it is a client bug

I’ve had the hist relay for a while now

If you had hist for a while then nostr.land to restore

no it’s a client bug

I thought it might be because of brave clearing cookies and everything but it still remembers my relays and other web clients haven't wiped my follow list either.

I understand. I just meant he should use hist.nostr.land with the nostr.land restore feature. Not with the other website.

It’s possible that metadata.nostr.com didn’t broadcast your follow list event to your write relays immediately. I just checked and it looks like your following count is back to 424 now, seems like it’s been restored?

No it hasn't restored. I haven't gotten the follow list back all day. But the follow list never disappeared on any other clients so I think it's a bug or something.

It might be a caching issue. But Jumble fetches the follow list every time it opens, so that's odd. I'll take a closer look and figure out what's going on. Thanks for your feedback!

My follow list is back for some reason 🤷‍♂

I’ve updated the cache refresh strategy, hopefully that will help

My follow list is gone again lol

And it's back lol

My follow list is gone again. I don't know how I managed to get it back last time.

Sorry for the spam. Hope it's helpful but the follows are back. Didn't do anything lol seems random.

Sorry, I missed your previous note. If it happens again, please let me know. I’m still not sure what’s causing it. Jumble fetches the latest follow list event and updates the cache every time you open it.

It’s okay I’m not trying to be annoying but also want to help because this is my favorite web client and my alternative option isn’t even close.

I don’t find it annoying at all, don’t worry. I really need feedback from you all.

Okay so it happened again. My follows were gone after I signed in to jumble. But I closed the tab and then reopened and they are all back. I am on the same brave browser session so the cookies and everything should all be the same. Not sure why but seems like when I'm signing in with the browser extension, it loses the follow list. But it came back after I closed the tab and opened a new one 🤷‍♂

Thanks so much for your continued feedback! It helped me track down the bug, it was a logic issue in the query method that also affected several other features. I’ve fixed it. After you update to the latest version, just open your profile page and stay there for a bit. It will refresh your follow list in the background, and things should be back to normal the next time you open Jumble.

Looks like everything is working now! Appreciate you 😬

Thank you too! 💜

Looks like the issue is resolved. I tried multiple times and my follow list is still there. Thanks again. Would love it if there was a way to save my lightning wallet though. I imagine a lot of people on nostr use privacy browsers like brace. Not a huge deal but every time I get on jumble I have to past my nwc into the wallet.

If the browser is auto-clearing jumble’s local data, there’s really nothing I can do about that 😂 Syncing a user’s nwc to relays, even if encrypted first, would probably be even less secure. And without some basic data cached locally, the overall jumble experience wouldn’t be very good either.

You know more about this stuff than I do lol so the relays save my relay configs? Because I have one that is read only and another that is write only

Yes. That config is public, other users need it in order to interact with you.
