I have read few books in my life that have jarred me into a harsh confrontation with what it means to be human.

This Much I Know is True- Wally Lamb

East of Eden- John Steinbeck

Freedom- Jonathan Franzen

A Little Life- Hanya Yanagihara

It is a small group, an exclusive club. Books that I could not put down because the story was so heartbreaking, so complex, so hilarious, so fucked, so real. Stories that I inadvertently get mixed in with my own memories.

You know, good fucking books man!

Today I am happy to add one more to the list. Do yourself a favor and devour this novel.

Interesting. I haven't read A Little Life or Bee Sting, but I will now. Thanks!

Can’t recommend enough. Enjoy my dude!

I once attended a writer’s retreat in Iceland with Paul Murray. He was a scintillating lecturer

That’s awesome! I’ll be honest I had never heard of him till I saw this book in the library. But I can’t wait to read his other stuff!
