“original precious metal is gold”

Do you agree with that ?

Gold’s generational claim to fame is “property of being incorruptible” (it does not tarnish or corrode)

Do you think bitcoin will hold it value longer then gold ? You see how simple it is to explain gold…give me bitcoin generational claim to fame in 100 years from now… please keep it simple #asknostr #bitcoin #gold

#Bitcoin has a stock-to-flow schedule that gold can’t compete with. Bitcoin is absolutely scarce, gold is relatively scarce. Gold has physical limitations as money, bitcoin does not. Gold will always centralize if it’s recognized as money, bitcoin (in theory) doesn’t.

When comparing them as money, bitcoin fulfills every imperative criteria, whereas gold fulfills only some. Bitcoin is also in its infancy on the adoption curve (we are still extremely early).

Unless the devs are compromised and the miners update their node software.

I 💯 agree. #Bitcoin certainly has its share a of risks, too. Compromised devs are one of them, could be witnessing it in real time right now with core devs…

Its unlikely anyone bothered to explain gold to anyone who didn't use it or already value it.

More likely that they just took it and over time consensus convened that gold is better than the rest. #bitcoin will be similar, those who get it are doing all they can to pan for it out west (home miners), build mega mines, scam for it (crooks), and take by organized force (gov). There are many parallels in how they get to that top spot.
