Family member uses a stone coated one. Not sure if marble. They are happy.

Yeah! There’s also diamond coated.

stainless steel will always be my favorite. very versatile. are there benefits to marble or diamond coated over common commercially available materials?

Honestly they look like the old school ceramic coated pans

I’m using one now. Works good on medium heat. Not great for searing though.

So it’s good on heat distribution, how’s the weight?

Use stainless steel and cast iron. Have a ceramic coated Le Creuset pan which haven't used in a while.
