I've been neglecting my Nostr profile. My recent post made it big on the Fediverse, and reminded me this place exists πŸ˜‹

Good post. The Fediverse was pretty important to me when Twitter started cracking down. Once I learned how fragmented it was and how you can't easily pack up and move to a new instance I started looking for something else. I'm happy that the mostr bridge exists though.

Great article. Thanks.

Great article. This is exactly why I strongly dislike ideas like requiring users to have NIP-05 identities under specific whitelisted domains in order to write to a relay. Don’t bring the temptation of domain-wide blocks to Nostr. There are good ideas we can borrow from ActivityPub, but domain blacklisting/whitelisting isn’t one of them. Nostr should be moving away from DNS, not towards it.

Nip05 is from the past

Nostr identities relay on the keys (nsec/npub), not on DNS names.

NIP-05 is just a way to set DNS alias, but we don't have to move the identity to the DNS name.

You should write a #introductions post about yourself πŸ™ƒ

Have you gathered some useful feedback about your article on the fediverse?

Curious...
