I like the video very much. It is a great and intense choreography, a theatrically implemented, powerful image of a person's struggle with various influences from the past which affect the present. No Shame, no regret!
I don't see it that way but that's ok... I see it when you love someone so much that you keep allowing the abuse. For me that's a connection between a woman with an unavailable man, which can be quite damaging. She struggles to get out ...and he always leaves the door open...

Never goes away but also is never there? For me is trauma bonding very well represented.
Most abusers, men or women, act like this. They love bomb you in the beginning of the connection. A lot of messages, a lot of attention, they shower you with attention and time. Then when they understand you are hooked, they start to talk less, and less and sometimes ignore (leave you on read). It's a manipulative tacking, called intermittent reinforcement, to get you "addicted". Your body and mind does the rest. Like an addict you do anything to get the attention again. When they feel you slipping, they come again. Usually when they are not giving you attention, they are with someone else. This devaluation process usually occurs between 3 to 6 months into the connection and repeats on a patter. It's insane and fu*ks with the soul.
I totally agree. It happened to me too. To whom it didn’t happen ? We’re all sometimes on auto pilot with our unresolved traumas. Men and women. To me the first dialogue and the last pieces of the lyrics are very intense and true „But I can't beat ya, 'cause I'm still with ya

There’s personnel interpretation possible, that’s why it’s a good video and song. But trauma comes from the past, right ? In my interpretation the men she dances a d fights with are symbolic for the unresolved relate traumas she brings into every new relationship. I understand that she blames the man for acting like that. That's human and everything is a process. But she must leave the scenario, she has to protect herself from that destructive and disrespectful behaviour. And that’s hard. If you love, you love. But I guess at some point ..after a leite of time .. it's enough and an open door is just a wooden thing and no longer a temptation. That’s the thoughts I have here.

You are correct. And it allows many interpretations. I read you wrong about the pasta. Yes, our own childhood trauma brings into connection to heal and break the pattern, I believe. In situations like this, either you learn self-love and choose you ( and abandoned the co section), or you will stay trapped and repeat the same cycle, either with this person, or another one.
