I should clarify what I meant to say with the above post. Apparently vibe coding can introduce bugs to on-chain wallets because of insufficient randomness, address reuse or insecure backups. On the other hand, vibe coded custodial eCash or Lightning wallets don’t have this risk because it doesn’t touch on-chain UTXOs (only relies on the mint or custodial lightning in some vibe coded wallets). What should also be mentioned is that the main bitcoin stack should be kept in cold storage and vibe coded custodial eCash wallet is for smaller amounts. This is a bit more accurate in the above context.

Thanks for the clarification. And that is essentially nostr:nprofile1qqsr7acdvhf6we9fch94qwhpy0nza36e3tgrtkpku25ppuu80f69kfqpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqprfmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68yurvv438xtnrdaksgs7e00 response when I raised issue with the idea. I still would not personally trust it even for small amounts, whether ecash, custodial lightning, or on chain. But to each their own. I think when these things are pushed out on Nostr as something for the average person to try, as this was, it would be prudent to make any associated risks ABUNDANTLY clear to people since it deals with their money, even if it is in small amounts. 🤝🫡
