Quantum computing should crack a Bitcoin private key and actually move it before anyone panics and does something stupid. But stupid is as stupid does.

Probably real a quantum computing tool will he able to crack and discover thing we never imagined or just barely like time travel or space temporal portals that would allow you to so things much more valuable than cracking a bitcoin wallet.. but everyone just think about that.
Bitcoin is small fry compared to everything else but everything else isn't really concerned. It's just Bitcoin fud to try and change to protocol. Just like spam is fud to try and change the protocol.
I don’t understand why people assume Bitcoin is the first and only target for a future quantum computer. Every other system on earth will be rekt first, won’t they?
Most of the world has been working hard on this for years.
Major banks are already 6 or 7 years along the migration path.
All the major browsers are at least hybrid-PCQ, same for Google drive and all such things.
Signal is pretty much fully migrated to PQC already. imessage too.
Latest versions of MacOS and iOS are quantum-secure TLS
List goes on.
