I stayed in a beach house one time about this close to the water on the outer banks of NC in Avon. It was soooo freaking awesome. I actually caught a fish while sitting on the couch! The last night there though, a storm surge came at high tide,in the middle of the night... wasn't a hurricane or anything. Scariest night of my life probably, the whole house was moving and we couldn't leave because the water was completely under the house. Ugh, chills thinking about it.
