I am curious, when is it appropriate to greet people with β€œMerry Christmas”? Is it now or when the actual Christmas Day comes? πŸΆπŸΎπŸ€”

I would say on Christmas Eve it's ok

Ok, that makes sense to me. But I am seeing people already greeting each other πŸΆπŸΎπŸ€”

Yeah, you could just say happy holidays till then

i've seen it happen anywhere between 1 & 2 weeks before christmas

Seems a bit early to me

Yeah, that’s what confused me 🐢🐾🀣

Yeah, I heard people saying stuff like that like a month before Christmas, too early!

When ever, you might not see them!

Good point πŸΆπŸΎπŸ«‚

I think you can say it whenever. I generally say Merry Christmas to people before the day if I’m not likely to see or talk to them again before the actual day (e.g. work colleagues) but will wish family or closer friends a Merry Christmas on the day.

That makes sense, yes πŸΆπŸΎπŸ«‚
