If you’re using an open-source software wallet unaffiliated with your signing device vendor, you don’t have to worry about whether these vendor emails are fake or real. Can’t affect you.
The Oracle on Jade by default is blockstream server so thats why I thought that this email was legit at first. But yeah you are right
I'm confused, how does the Jade wallet work? Why does it need an oracle?
Fantastic question. My guess would be price oracle (for showing amounts in fiat currency equivalent units)
Looking it up, apparently they have a mode of operation where the seed is decrypted with the help of an oracle server, the goal being to increase the security in case someone gets hold of the hardware wallet and tries to extract the seed
