I just don't have reminders and notifications going to my watch. It tells time, it let's me ask Google stuff, and when I'm traveling by foot I use Google maps on it so I don't drain my phone battery.

(Plus as a pilot mine has a heart beat monitor and blood oxygen meter, but that's specific to what I do).

My last one used reminders on, so I know what you mean.
