What is left now is to teach the history of how we got here - recognizing pioneers like Wasabi and Samurai - and learn from it.

It's critical that most Bitcoin stays no-KYC. Anything less than a supermajority pushes us toward a dystopian future - one already previewed in Sweden, where anyone can legally look up your home address and Bitcoin holdings in a public, government-mandated registry. I don't think anyone sane wants to live in the chaos of that type of world.

I also heard, that XMR is so private, that you cannot verify how many coins are in circulation.

Bitcoin is perfect in that goldilock zone being pseudonymous.

pseudonymity is insufficient because it is trivial to link UTXO clusters to KYC information now or in the future.

Onchain #bitcoin privacy is almost dead.

I hope to hear the talk but if its all rationalizing custodial privacy and ecash I'm out.

If you run your own node it (probably) is.

One of the problems with LN privacy is that if it broke (routing node collude etc), you'd never know.
