And I was really wondering why my phone is so laggy why I use Nostr… could you care to explain why 10 is the upper limit? Will it increase somehow in the future?

More relays means more network connections, more data downloaded, more memory used. There are special relays like blastr and nostr.wine that help blast/filter notes out to more feeds.
