Without hesitation, "can I pay you in Bitcoin?"

He never heard of it, and apparently others have asked to buy his beef with gold which he didn't accept. I spent 10+ minutes planting the seed.

To be fair, he was definitely below market rate, probably still is, but price increases are always a great way to start the Bitcoin discussion.
